About My Myofascial Release PracticeMy practice is located within Capital Integrative Health (CIH), a collective of like-minded, health professionals. Myofascial release is a helpful tool for anyone ready to go deeper on their healing journey. It is a scientific art form blending technical skills with intuition and energy and a great support for any of the other modalities and treatments offered at CIH.
You do not have to be a member of CIH as a medical patient to make an appointment with me. |
Kari Altmann Willford, LMT

My journey in healing work is continually fueled by my desire to help others and by having a deeper understanding of our mind, body and soul. I am an expert level, John F. Barnes (JFB) myofascial release therapist. Through my work I blend my intuition, deep listening and technical skills to gain insight into your body. I believe in your personal empowerment and guide you in self- treatment techniques beyond the treatment room. Myofascial release is the most profound healing I have experienced and I am grateful to bring this modality to my clients.
Prior to living in the D.C. area, I spent 10 years in Arizona and maintained a private practice in personal training and bodywork. During that time, I also worked at the world-class spa, Sanctuary on Camelback Mountain. Throughout this time, I deepened my experience and practiced excellence in service and eventually achieved master therapist status. I graduated from the University of North Dakota and Arizona School of Massage Therapy and am a certified personal trainer with American College of Sports Medicine. I have also studied nutrition, yoga (200hr), corrective exercise (Function First) and contemporary Shamanism (Robin Rice), all of which adds to each session.
