Kari Willford, LMT
My journey in healing work is continually fueled by my desire to help others and by having a deeper understanding of our mind, body and soul. Through my work I blend my intuition, deep listening, and technical skills to gain insight into your body. I believe in your personal empowerment and guide you in self-treatment techniques beyond the treatment room. Myofascial release is one of the most profound healing modalities I have experienced and I am grateful to bring this work to my clients.
I have lived in the DC area since 2013. I currently have my private practice at Capital Crescent Collective, in Bethesda. Prior to this, I spent the last nine years at Capital Integrative Health, a functional medicine clinic nearby and worked collaboratively with many healthcare providers in support of clients regaining their wellness back.
Before living in the D.C. area, I maintained a private practice in personal training and bodywork in Phoenix, AZ for a decade. Additionally, I worked at the world-class spa, Sanctuary on Camelback Mountain. During my time at Sanctuary, I deepened my experience and practiced excellence in service and eventually achieved master therapist status. I graduated from the University of North Dakota and Arizona School of Massage Therapy and am a certified personal trainer with American College of Sports Medicine. I have also studied nutrition, yoga, corrective exercise and contemporary Shamanism, the Center for Mind Body Medicine professional and advance professional program on trauma transformation and the LTAP with Movement Rev.
In my spare time, I enjoy being with my family and friends, biking, gardening, listening to music and cooking.

About My Myofascial Release Practice
My integrative bodywork practice specializes in John F. Barnes Myofascial Release. A body's foundation is based on the integrity of its parts. Our fascial system helps maintain the integrity of our structure and the health of our body. Myofascial release is a hands-on therapy that resolves pain and tightness in the body. Myofascial release allows for emotional patterns and stress to be released alongside the process of letting go of the physical pain and tightness your body has experienced.
Myofascial release is a helpful tool for anyone ready to go deeper on their healing journey. It is a scientific art form blending technical skills with intuition and energy and a great support for any of the other modalities and treatments you may also use to feel your best.
My practice is located within Capital Crescent Collective in Bethesda, Maryland. This peaceful location overlooks the Capital Crescent trail. The office is easily accessible to Maryland, Virginia, and the DC area.
